What Your Kids Learned This Weekend (Feb 9/10)

Birth - Kindergarten Our Bible Story this week was in Luke 15:11-24. A son asks his father for his share of the inheritance and then wastes it. When the son finally returns the father is overjoyed! In fact, he’s SO happy that he gives his son a big hug and throws a huge party! Our memory verse for the month is: “…How wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.” – Ephesians 3:18 (NIV) --- Grades 1 - 6 Our Bible Story this week was in Genesis 27:41-45; 31:3; 32:1-21. When Jacob stole Esau’s birthright, taking his inheritance and his place in the family, Esau was furious. Years later they meet again and forgave each other. Our Bottom Line is: prove you care about others by letting go of “what’s fair.” Our memory verse for the month is: “Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.” – Romans 14:19 (NIV) Click here for more.
