Weekend Wrap-Up...December 5, 2011

1. Birth - Kindergarden Basic Truth: Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Key Question: How do we know God loves us? Bottom Line: God gave us Jesus. This week’s Bible story was about The Angel and Mary in Luke 1:26-33. Your children learned that God told us He would give us Jesus, the best gift we will ever get. 2. Elementary December is the perfect month for an Extreme Makeover! Jesus tells the parable of a rich man in our Bible story (Luke 12:13-21). He gets wrapped up on storing up more stuff and ends up losing everything that really matters. Bottom Line: People are always more important than stuff. When we realize it’s a lie that stuff makes life better, it’s easier for us to give. 3. Cookies for Your Child’s LeaderWould you like to do something extra nice for the great people who teach your children about Jesus each week?  If you like to bake and are interested in blessing your child’s leader please call Julie (for birth - kindergarten) at at jmcmican@highdesertchurch.com and Debbie (for grades 1 - 6) atdackermann@highdesertchurch.com 4. Help us Support a Compassion Child This December During the months of December and January, we will be collecting money at Beach House that will help continue our support of Napolian through Compassion International.  His life has been greatly impacted through our support.  Please consider encouraging your child to participate with us. 5.
