Simple Tips to Help Your Child with This Week's Lesson

Birth - Kindergarten

Our Bible story this week was in Genesis 1:14-19. In the beginning, God made the sky, sun, moon and stars.

Our memory verse for the month is “…God created the heavens and the earth.” – Genesis 1:1 (NIV)

Sometime this week take turns calling out things God made that you see out the window. When you get home, take a minute to pray and thank God for all the wonderful things you saw.

Grades 1 - 6

Our Bible story for this week was in John 9:1-38. Jesus heals a blind man. Our bottom line: God is doing something to show me who He is.

Our memory verse for the month is “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” – Luke 2:52 (NIV)

Here's some tips to help your child with this week's lesson:

1. Read the Bible story together with your family. Look it up in the Bible.

2. Remember the Bible verse for the month and take turns reciting it to each other.

3. Reflect on the following questions and discuss your answers together:

• Ask a kid: How does it make you feel about your future to know what God has done in your life and the lives of others around you?

• Ask a parent: Talk about a time when your faith grew. What made it grow?
