For the first few years of my life I was baptized catholic, even though I didn't understand what I was doing. A few years past and my parents heard the word of god from a christian church, ever since then I was raised christian. I’ve been going to HDC since I was in kindergarten, but I never thought that my relationship with god was ever necessary. I never believed that someone else should tell me what to do other than my parents, being a stubborn child. The summer of 2017 came by and my parents believed it was time to start going back to church, considering our family was drifting away from god. This year was different, my parents wanted me to go into the chapel where the 6-8th graders go. I was very nervous to do something new. After that service I heard the word of god a whole new way I could understand and I loved it. Ever since then I’ve been trying my best to attend small groups and any other trips for church so I can spread the word of god and show others how great he is. I always wanted to find new ways to make my relationship with god stronger until one service they talked about baptism. This is the perfect way to make my walk with god stronger than it already is.
