I have been going to church since I was one years old with my parents, Gregory and Michelle Camarena. When I was in fourth grade an amazing small group leader came into my life, Miranda Almeida. She was a great example of what I wanted to be like when I grow up, she had an unbelievable passion for God and taught me how to have one as well. That same year on Easter 2014 my friend Janessa Searcy and I accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior with Miranda.
In fifth grade I went to church camp and that changed my life forever because that whole week I learned about God and how he will forever be in my life. After that I was sad to hear that my small group leader Miranda was leaving, but I knew it was for the best. After Miranda left, my current small group leader came into my life, Rhiannon Aragues. She is an amazing leader and she encouraged me to get baptized.
This was at a time when I was going through a very bad period in my life because my parents were fighting really bad. Through that time I learned that God never left my side. I went into sixth grade and I started getting mistreated by people I considered my friends. I got through these hard times with the help of my Lord and savior and my best friend and cousin Jalynn Madrigal. She is very supportive of me and is always there when I need a shoulder to cry and lean on. Jalynn is an amazing person I consider my sister. I know that I can trust her and share my problems. Even though today I am still facing trials, I know God is always with me. I am now ready to let everyone know I’m going to follow Christ.
