First I would like to introduce myself. My name is Kyle Lussier, and I am incredibly excited to be baptized at High Desert Church. I first understood that I needed Christ to take away my sins this past year. I felt my life at a standstill and I knew that there was something missing. I knew that only God could fill that void, but that I first needed God to forgive me of my sins and accept him into my life. Before I accepted Christ into my life I felt that I had no purpose or direction for my life. I was not working or going to school and I knew there had to be more to my life. I had grown up in the church but never felt that personal relationship with Jesus until this past year.
I first came to HDC in December with my girlfriend and have continued to come ever since. We have had many discussions about what she believed and what I believed, and she helped me understand the importance of having a relationship with Christ not just going to church and going through the motions. We went over the ABC’s of becoming a Christian, then I started observing in beach house, and I knew that the next step I needed to take was to follow Christ’s command and get baptized.
Now that I have accepted Christ into my life I feel a complete change in who I am and my purpose in life. I know that God has a plan for me, and that it may not be what I had planned but it is the best plan. I now have a job and am ready to follow Christ’s calling and go back to school to become a teacher. Christ has filled that void I had in my life, and I can’t wait to see what he has in store for my future. Choosing to follow Christ was the best decision I have ever mad, and I am excited to take that next step and become baptized.
