I have had the privilege to grow up in a Christian home where at the age of eight, guided by my parents, I accepted Christ into my life. For me, this meant that I knew I was a sinner, and believed that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. As I committed my life to Him, I saw that although my life wasn't perfect, the joys were richer and I didn't have to face those difficult times alone. Knowing this opened my eyes to the fact that life is so much bigger than me. I realize that my purpose is to be a reflection of God's light to the people I encounter.
As I have gotten older, I feel that God has really been challenging me in my own personal walk with Him. The Bible tells us that believers are to be baptized, and so I am doing this out of obedience to God's word.
In all of the variety of places I have seen God work, the constant remains that He is master over my life. As He teaches me, I too can influence the world around me for Jesus Christ.
